SAAF 2021 SURGICAL AND MEDICAL OUTREACH

On the 14th of August 2021, Dr Paul Aderemi Adegoke, the son of Paa Anibijuwon Adegoke mobilized his medical team to screen many people that were in need of minor surgeries by conducting various tests to determine their health status and determine whether they were heathy enough to undergo any surgery at the Maternity Center, Oyan, which the Osun State Government was magnanimous enough to donate for the program. This was followed on the 28th of August by the free surgical operations for the 15 patients that were previously screened. While the surgeries were going on, eye checks, blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests and other minor ailments checks were being carried out by some of the volunteer doctors that were present. 45 people were cleared for medicated glasses while 125 were cleared for reading glasses. The cost of the surgical and medical outreach cannot be quantified because Dr Paul Aderemi Adegoke sponsored four (4) resident surgeons from the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan while Dr Kola Odedere and Dr Kayode Oke that joined them sponsored themselves for the program. In addition to surgeries and checks each patient went home with a copy of Saaf 2020 Publication “Hints For Healthy Living” booklet.
