PAA STEPHEN ANIBIJUWON ADEGOKE(1901-1986)

Paa Stephen Anibijuwon Adegoke was born around 1901 in Oyan to a family in the lineage of Epe, the founder of Oyan. He was so trustworthy and honest that all his friends, relations and even the church used to entrust their money into his care for safe keeping or business. He was a devoted Catholic.

Though he was relatively poor, he was always ready to help all that came to him for assistance so much that he sometimes had little left for himself and his family. He died in 1986 after a prolong illness.

May his soul continue to rest in peace in the name of Jesus. Amen.
